SATURDAY SIZZLER / BASKETBALL AND MENTORING

ATL's popular and successful Saturday tutoring and mentoring program will begin after winter break. The Saturday Sizzler test preparation and tutoring sessions are from 8 am to noon, followed by Basketball and Mentoring from noon to 2 pm. Students must meet in the cafeteria between 7:40 and 7:50 am. Snacks are provided.

TUTORING AT ATL

After-school tutoring is available after school from 2:50 pm to 4:50 pm.

Honor society students offer tutoring on Mondays and Tuesdays:
  • Math: Mondays in room 6-208 (Ms. Chee-A-Tow)
  • All subjects: Tuesdays in room 5-208
  • Spanish: Thursdays in room 5-318 (Ms. French)

Teacher-led tutoring is available Monday through Thursday in academic subjects, organizational & test-taking strategies, and ACT/SAT preparation. Meet in front of the cafeteria at 2:50 pm.
  • Monday: Math
  • Tuesday: Math
  • Wednesday: 
    • No tutoring on the first Wednesday of each month.
    • Math and science 
    • Reading Plus and ACT/SAT Online on second and fourth Wednesdays
  • Thursday: Math

Students should bring their book/notes/homework and come prepared with questions. No appointment is required, just show up whenever you need help! For honor society tutoring, please see the teacher in the room and inform her which specific class you need help in. She will pair you with a student who can help. You can also use this time to get your homework done.

Teachers will provide an activity bus pass (the bus leaves at 5pm) to students who attend tutoring sessions.

Florida Standards Assessments
Florida Standards in Mathematics and English Language Arts were approved by the Florida State Board of Education in February 2014 and were implemented in grades K–12 in the 2014–2015 school year.
