The Sandoway House, Delray Beach Parks and Recreation, and Keep Palm Beach County Beautiful, Inc. (KPBCB) are sponsoring the Great American Cleanup on the beach in Delray from 8 am to 10 am on April 5. Meet at the Sandoway House, 142 S. Ocean Blvd. Supplies will be provided and participants will earn community service hours.

Congratulations to the ACHS JROTC Air Rifle Team! They won the Area 3 South Air Rifle Championship for the 4th straight year. C/CSM Sebastian Zarate was the top overall shooter, and C/CPT Alex Lee was third overall. C/CSM Zarate was placed second in the prone firing position, 1st in the standing position, and 4th in the kneeling position. C/CPT Lee was second in standing, 3rd in kneeling. The team has qualified to go to the State Championship.
Congratulations to Marc Rodriguez, one of the top-scoring students at the 29th Annual Palm Beach County Academic Challenge Competition and one of six students selected for the Palm Beach County All-Star Academic Challenge Team. These all-star team will represent Palm Beach County at the Florida High School Commissioner’s Academic Challenge on April 10-12 at Walt Disney World. The Palm Beach County competition will be aired on The Education Network.
Congratulations to the the Eagles Robotics Xperience on their second place showing at the southeast regional competition in San Antonio, TX. The ATL robotics team bested 70 teams from twelve states and will advance to the world championship in St. Louis at the end of April. Construction Academy director Tim Sachse is a Dwyer Award finalist for career education. Mr. Sachse teaches building trades and construction technology classes and oversees the Eagles Nest home building project. |
