Community, Parents, and Students: The district informed us today our home side bleachers are closed for the remainder of the season due to a safety concern. The good news: We are able to use our ATL home field for the two home games remaining this season, but seating will be limited. We are excited that Senior Night is tomorrow evening, Oct. 1, and our last scheduled home game is Homecoming on Oct. 22! We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Tickets for tomorrow evening's game will go on sale at 5:30 pm. Thank You! Go Eagles! The Florida High School Athletic Association football district realignment moves Atlantic from District 13-7A (Dwyer, Forest Hill, Olympic Heights, Palm Beach Lakes, Royal Palm Beach and West Boca Raton) to District 10-8A (Boca Raton, John I. Leonard, Lake Worth, Park Vista, Santaluces and Spanish River) next year, allowing the ATL football team to play more schools that are closer to home.

JROTC AIR RIFLE TEAM TAKES FIRST PLACE AT DISTRICTS
Congratulations to the ATL JROTC air rifle team on their first place at the district meet Oct. 25. CSM Zarate was first place overall shooter, best in standing and best in kneeling. LTC Pabion was second place overall shooter. BOYS CROSS COUNTRY TEAM QUALIFIES FOR REGIONALS Senior Brian Paul placed eighth overall at the district meet. The team will compete at regionals on Saturday, Nov. 8. MARCHING BAND EARNS SUPERIOR, EXCELLENT RATINGS The Atlantic Community High School War Eagle Marching Band competed in the Crown Jewel Marching Festival at Vero Beach High School on Oct. 18 and the Marching Music Performance Assessment at Palm Beach Central High School on Oct. 25. The band was second runner up in its class at the Crown Jewel competition with superior ratings for drum majors and color guard, and best in class for percussion and general effect. At the MPA the band received superior ratings for percussion, color guard and marching & maneuvering; excellent ratings for music and general effect categories; and an overall excellent rating. ATLANTIC GOLFER C.J. FISHER QUALIFIES FOR STATE CHAMPIONSHIP
Congratulations to junior C.J. Fisher. He will compete at the state golf finals in Tavares on Nov. 4. Congratulations also to freshman Jasmine Ferguson on placing in the top 10 at regionals, and to the entire boys and girls golf teams for a successful season. ATLANTIC GIRLS VOLLEYBALL DISTRICT CHAMPS Congratulations to the district champion girls varsity volleyball team, and good luck at regionals! EAGLES FOOTBALL: "WE'RE ON A HIGH RIDE RIGHT NOW" Friday's 37-26 upset over Dwyer puts the ATL in a 3-way tie for first place in District 13. The last district game for ATL is next week's homecoming contest against Lake Worth. And congratulations to the JV football team on an undefeated season! CONGRATULATIONS TO SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS Adeet Patel is one of five Palm Beach County students to win a freshman-year scholarship during Florida Atlantic University’s first expo for high school students on Oct. 18. The Miami Dolphins surprised senior Jojo Mathurin with a Rising Star scholarship award last week. Jojo will be honored at Sunlife Stadium during the Dolphins game December 7. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE JROTC RAIDER TEAM The Atlantic JROTC Raider team won first place in the Palm Beach and Martin County Raider meet, placing first in all five events USA Football has selected ATL junior Chanler Ferguson to play linebacker on the Under-18 National Team. USA Football is the official youth football partner of the NFL and manages U.S. national teams for international competition.
Chanler and his team will represent the United States on the field against Team Canada at 7:30 pm on Friday, Jan. 30, at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys.
