IB junior Crystal Lee received a gold medal from the national Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. Crystal will travel to New York City for the awards ceremony at Carnegie Hall in May, and her work will be in a gallery in New York along with the other national winners. Twenty-six works of art done by Atlantic students were accepted for the local Scholastic show this year.
IB senior Trang Leminh, Atlantic's Pathfinder nominee for art, has a piece on display at the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach.
Seniors Mar Dominguez and Irvens Fleuricin received gold medals and cash awards from the Boca Raton group Women in the Visual Arts. Both will receive cash prizes on April 7 at Sugar Sand Park where their paintings are currently on display.
