Kash is a bloodhound donated to the Palm Beach County School Police Department by the Jimmy Ryce Center for Victims of Predatory Abduction. The puppy has been stationed with Officer Curtis Riddick at Atlantic High School for the past few months. After Kash completes his training, he and Officer Riddick will work throughout Palm Beach County to assist in finding missing and endangered children and adults. Atlantic High School students are raising money so the Jimmy Ryce Center can donate more bloodhounds like Kash to police departments across the United States. As part of Atlantic's fundraising effort, Assistant Principal Ruthe Frances will be in the dunk tank at the 10th grade field day on May 31. Students will have the opportunity to buy tickets for chances to dunk their AP. Ms. Francis hopes this encourages not only her students to support Kash, but also other schools to come up with their own ways to include students, parents and teachers in the cause.
